Ti-Fi Music

On June 19th 2009 Ti-Fi had its first concert with a full 19 songs set list. Man, was I nervous and excited at the same time! As we finished the sound check, got our “Artist” passes, talked with the manager about the plan for the night – it was almost time to open the doors. The Den was beginning to get filled with all sorts of people, Russians, Canadians, Arabs, Indians, Europeans, etc… The opening act was stylishly presented by Alexander Zagumenov (zagumenov.com) and the band Incidence Angle. Their 9 songs performance was awesome! The crowd was beginning to loosen up by listening to live music and enjoying the evening.

After a short break and a lottery draw, Ti-Fi hit the stage to the loud applause and screaming of the fans. Thank you guys for the support! We knew that the show will gather an international crowd, including English native speakers, who probably don’t understand Russian, so we prepared a couple of English covers. Songs by Rage Against the Machine, Muse, Poison and other famous Russian songs. Despite the covers we had an opportunity to present all of our original songs that we were working on and now in recording phase. Immediately after the first songs the dance floor before the stage was filled with fans and guests of the evening, dancing, singing and screaming to our songs. The support was overwhelming and it was great to see so many people who chose to support Calgary’s local music band.
